Description

It's so easy, and indeed rather lazy to dismiss contemporary art and design with the excuse " I may not know much about art but I know what I like". This very clever final piece in the Model Making Department degree show at AUB show how many skills, techniques and materials this student had to master to produce such high quality results. She had several other very diverse pieces. The entire show in this department was stunning See something completely different from the same department Here

As one who is very literate with a good sense of words and their use, I find that with this statue and the 'sewing machine' and 'Chainsaw' that this lady has created have left me with a loss for words to describe what I've seen and actually felt. in other words, very impressive art thanks for sharing these with us Andrea!

Stunning work! The logistics of constructing this boggles the mind. The face reminds me of a Roman sculpture of an old lady I saw once. Thank you for sharing this.

All the bodies together is very clever, but the piece as a whole is revolting. The ugliest thing I have ever seen!!!!!!! I would HATE to have to look at that everyday in my house! Nice find though.

This is my kind of sculpture, you can appreciate the work the artist has put into this piece, ultimately that will always show with the end result. Nice capture of this sculpture.

A wonderfully interesting and difficult sculpture but don't think of it as modern there's nothing new, I have a small Chinese piece of antique Amber a portrait made of naked ladies the interesting part is on the silver skullcap it's a pornographic engraving.

Lucretia has an exceptional imagination and the expertise to put it all together. A giant WOW!! I also thought that Lizzie's orange sewing machine took great imagination and amazing art work!

What an amazing piece! I love all the detail ... so easy to get lost in the various parts and lose track of the whole. It's equally easy to enjoy the whole and forget the parts! A brilliant artist, indeed. Thank you for sharing this! The chain saw sewing machine is a hoot. :D Love it!

Well, that is ... eeeh yes. Fun and a fantastic idea and I admire the artists skills and imagination, but I am not sure I like the whole. Excellent shot though.
