Double digit inflation killed double digit gas prices. It was made possible the removal of silver coinage and silver backed money (step two of the progressive's plan to float the U.S. currency, step one was done by FDR when he removed gold).

Awesome, shot, but, I am a women, so when I was that young my ex did all the car gas buying, lol. I could tell you the cost of the grocery bill back then or price for kids shoes, lol....:)))
