Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It's so busy up there! Look at that squirrel's nest of wires...okay it's not a squirrel's nest, but it sure looks like one. There's a whole lotta conductivity going on. Great POV. I just love these looking up sorts of shots. What a find. I love those insulators too. I don't see that species of insulator very much in Chicago, and so it's a treat for me. Nice!

Amazing photo and text! Kind of a scary situation, but you've at least made a beautiful photo out of this snake's nest of wires! :)

I saw this and thought how "3rd world" it looked. And then I read your comments. Still, for a truly surreal experience you would have to see the wiring in India. I love you POV. It really does look like a bowl of noodles up there.

Great shot .

Shocking, what a riotous maelstrom of cables and wires, so elegantly and precisely displayed in this fine image, Marilyn.

Scary stuff! Almost as bad as the shots I've seen from somewhere in India, where this would be a 100th of the complexity of the number of lines...Great capture!
