Description

This is an electrical post in Mexico. I've seen them spark and and light up like the 4th of July. When someone new moves in, they just climb up the post and patch it in! And if you think this is crazy, you should see some water lines -- everyone and his brother taps into the same source, with the effect of MANY leaks. I think more water goes down the hill than into people's homes.

It's so busy up there! Look at that squirrel's nest of wires...okay it's not a squirrel's nest, but it sure looks like one. There's a whole lotta conductivity going on. Great POV. I just love these looking up sorts of shots. What a find. I love those insulators too. I don't see that species of insulator very much in Chicago, and so it's a treat for me. Nice!

Amazing photo and text! Kind of a scary situation, but you've at least made a beautiful photo out of this snake's nest of wires! :)

I saw this and thought how "3rd world" it looked. And then I read your comments. Still, for a truly surreal experience you would have to see the wiring in India. I love you POV. It really does look like a bowl of noodles up there.

Shocking, what a riotous maelstrom of cables and wires, so elegantly and precisely displayed in this fine image, Marilyn.

Scary stuff! Almost as bad as the shots I've seen from somewhere in India, where this would be a 100th of the complexity of the number of lines...Great capture!
