Description
This image is going to be textured and rendered in Bryce, due to it's most excellent atmospheric effects (rendering with glob. illum. would take forever :-). So far it has 870 000 polygons, but still growing. It's untextured for faster render times. Once I finish the building on the left, will start modeling the characters for the background, or will use some from my photos. All models in Max5, except the platan tree (Onyx Tree Suite 5.1)
Thanks for viewing and will post the final as soon as it's done.

Great modeling feri. You mean that bryce acualy renders faster than something ;o)I haven't rendered anything in bryce in a long time maybe I shout bust it out one of these days.

Lon, Bryce does not rernder faster than Max. I just wanted to keep render times low, that's why I didn't put textures on the objects. I just wanted to use Bryce, because its atmospherics are superb with a little tweaking (sky, haze, etc.)

Stranger but very good effect. He remembers me to old videogames polygonal. A very good image, modeled well. The tree is brilliant. Very good work.

This looks promising feri :) i agree with you on bryce, it renders very realistic(nice raytracing).

Modelling an' POV are great but the trees are realy clunky, if it were a summer scene and you'd covered them in foliage OK, but not for a winter scene !! '-)

Gerry, the trees, lamp posts, globes, etc. will be very smooth, these are the raw models without applying any smoothing. Also, it is going to be a winter scene, or early spring, I took the photo in March that I've based this picture on.

The buildings need something on the back to stop the sky showing. All the objects need smoothing.Even under these circumstances the atmosphere beats bryce - I'm confused

This is an outstanding piece of work ... great detail and very true to the real square in Budapest. I'll go on to the next one and save some words for that :-)Karin.
