Description
I was at a Hebrew root conference in Jacksonville , Florida this past 6 days and just got back. on sat. They had a real Jewish church thing. I sorry i do not know how to spell the words so I put down hopeful word pictures you can understand.
anyway he walked all over the room so people can place they Bible or they part of Jewish clothes on it[ do not know the name lol] and they will kiss the bible or part of the cloth that touch the Torah Scroll
All these people believe in Jesus as they Messiah. many came out of the Jewish religious and the Christians there wish to know more about the Bible as we need to know more about the Jewish roots or they way of life in the Bible times. Like they customs and many things. lol. I just learning about them.

Great candid capture, Jock. it's interesting that the three major religions, Judaism, Islam, & Christianity all share the Old Testament. (one and the same).

Islam have nothing to do with these two religions. They are opposite of Judaism and Christianity Esau is what most the mid east countries is after and also Lot descendants. A lot can be learn about them if you google esau and Lot descendants Moabites and the ammonites Ishmael became the 12 trips of the arabs as he had 12 sons. Mohammed say it right as he came from this man just check the mid east and see who doing all the wars there

What a great idea to learn about others religions with respect for each. I wish all people in the world could do that. Then there would be less wars. I cannot read hebrew, but I can speak it a little :-)

I don't know why the photo is blurred, looks almost surreal, but the gentleman in the synagogue is carrying the Torah - the law of God as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures.

I like the zoom effect on this, Jock. I don't know if you intended it or not, but it definitely adds to the photo IMO. I've attended a few Jewish ceremonies, having a friend several years ago who was Jewish - I found it quite fascinating.

what a strange idea to drive to this conference! we sometimes have meetings with muslims to learn more about them! but I already read some books about this religion, thats enough knowledge! ;o)

Nice capture. Jocko, you cant say "Islam have nothing to do with these two religions". Muslims hold a high view for all Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, but they give a supreme position to the Qur'an. It's a fact, you can ask confirmation to your preacher. (I'm catholic).
