Description

[Please zoom to see details] I submitted this to the "Render a month challenge" over at Daz. This month's theme was "dusty" and all I could think of was my experience with West Texas: warm-hearted hard-working people, and DUST EVERYWHERE. It got in your nose, your ears, the corners of your eyes, even the pores in your skin. Never did a shower feel so good! I've been in the creative doldrums for awhile, so the challenge was nice to get me going again. Sorry I've not been around much but I've been SOOOO busy. Couple that with not having much creativity so yes I've been scarce. But now I'm laid up from recent surgery, I *can* sit for a bit, so I'm trying to shake the artistic cobwebs loose while I can't do much of anything else. Can't wait to visit your galleries again now that I have nothing but time on my hands LOL...

Definitely captures a dusty feel. Sorry to hear that you had to have surgery - but every cloud and all that, and at least we may see more of you here, which is good!

you certainly succeeded in capturing a dusty feel, and bleak looking dust too, well done — trust you recover soon spurred on by this

The dustiness here is definitely palpable! Like the camera angle and character staging.

So glad to see a post from you. Sorry to hear about your surgery, I hope it wasn't anything too serious. I've been in a two year slump myself, I guess I need to find a challenge to jump start my creative process. It sure worked for you this is a wonderful scene!

You have no artistic cobwebs, you have an eye for the essentials, for good scenes and good perspective.
