Description

So this is the Rainbow Bridge in Cotter, AR. Supposedly one of only twelve built like it in the USA. I live about a mile from this bridge. Funny thing, this bridge in particular is named after it's design, yet the river underneath is the White River and Cotter is known as the "Rainbow Trout Capital of the World". Go figure. Very cool! My first introduction to "Rainbow Bridge" was through Jimi Hendrix. I only recently learned that a rainbow bridge may have first come to prominence in Norse mythology? But, no matter what, totally awesome!

Nice Image! Interesting work! In Northern Mythology Bifröst (= the Rainbow Bridge) is the connection between Midgard (=Earth) and Asgard (=Home of the Gods). Only the Gods and mighty heroes are capable to walk on this bridge. :-)
