Hope our artist friends across the ocean had a good 4th July, great capture of the fireworks here. Have we learnt to stay on our own soil and not impose ourselves on other countries?... sadly not, history seems to repeat over and over again.... middle east and the likes... we cannot even secure our own borders in 2014... history tells us about lessons we never seem to learn... I shall consider myself English not British as the kingdom is no longer really united. :-)

the trouble is that the terrorists come here to "live the American Dream" but instead they want to lay in wait to attack like a rabid dog . if people want to cross any border they will no matter how well it is guarded. how many countries in Europe has a problem with undocumented people trying to escape their home country. I think all of them, and some only want to rob and kill people. it is in the news almost every week of Spain capturing people from Africa in make shift boats over loaded. they leave Cuba also in overloaded boats not fit to face the relentless ocean a WWII veteran wanting to visit France where he was part of the invading force had problems getting his passport out. the immigration officer talked to him very badly and said you knew you were going to need it. the old man replied, well the first time I came to France no one asked me about any passport
