Description

The European bee-eater is a bird staying half the year in Africa and half the year in some parts of Southern and Eastern Europe. I took this picture in the South of France in a region called Grau. Although the picture isn't perfect, I am still very happy with it because it shows this bird in full flight.. and that is, I think, special. Enlarging the picture is strongly recommended.

What a lovely shot. Could you please send it to Dk because our shed is having two large wasp nests full of wasps and there is a big traffic of them in the backyard. We have to walk slowly, not to have one bumping into out faces. Both I and my son got one in the face, because they are very busy in the warm weather.

Great to actually see! Driving near the Camargue one year I bent down to pick something up from the floor of the car and my husband told me I'd just missed one that flew across the road!! Probably missed my only chance to see one...not available in Lancashire!
