The fly-by-night company I hired did a sloppy job removing the stump, then apparently dissolved. The company, not the stump... The remnants of the stump are still there, but I'll probably have it taken out - properly this time! In the meantime it's a great place for all kinds of fungi to grow. I came home from work the other day and saw these shelf mushrooms growing there, and thought I'd grab a few photos of them. By the time I came back out with my camera, this is what I saw! I got a couple photos of this delightful little lady. After I took the photo, she gave me this sultry look and said, "Now, don't you wish you were my size? We could frolic in the grass for a while!" She winked, giggled, and off she flew. Faeries.. They can be such little teases at times. Hope everyone had a great Independence Day, Canada Day, or just a great weekend!
