Description
Meet "Junior" - the newest member of the Mississippi Kite population! I was honored to be able a good view of him for the first time a few days ago. He was waiting for Mama to return with lunch, and she is in the center image.
This is across the street near the top of a very tall Pecan tree, so the images were extremely cropped. Wish I had a 500 or 600mm lens so I could get better quality. But still - it's something not many get to see.
P.S. Check out that bottom left one in Zoom where he {{YAWNED}} real big and stuck his little tongue out. LOL!

Excellent, I say, excellent, in this fabulous assemblage of photos of the baby kite, begging for sustenance, plus the nurturing mama shown at the center, Maria. Junior, even though most petite, sort of looks like some kind of monster with that open beak, when viewed in zoom.

An excellent collage and 'junior' has his/her tongue out in both of the right corners too. Five super shots - nothing wrong with any of them but sometimes we have to settle for substance over quality - you have managed to catch both in all 5 shots!
