Sorry, I don't speak Latin too well, so I must assume that this is a ladybug atop some sort of cacti or rosebush. Love the thorns and what seemingly look like the eyes of the insect.

Such a humble creature. I don't know anyone who doesn't like them. Two superb images. The one on flickr should be careful not to get impaled on that thistle.
