It’s a symbol of the purple day. 2008 invented by the then nine-year-old Cassidy Megan. Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. 17.02.2012 the day was officially recognized by the "Purple Day Act" in Canada. Last year, people in dozens of countries on all continents including Antarctica participated in Purple Day. I know some people that have epilepsy. one i know good use to have those seizures and he started to look up what the cause and even find some herbs that say will stop the seizures. he tried the herbs out and he did not have any seizures in years. yes it took a little time for the herbs to work but he noted that he had less and lest and now he do not have any. he say he have to keep taking the herbs for life to keep the seizures from comeing back. all i know he google all this to find the cure.
