Description

I've been working on this head on and off for about two weeks now and I need some suggestions for moving it further. I still have to tweak her ears a bit and there are some points around her nose, cheek and mouth that needs additional pulling, but what shall I do with her on a larger scale? If you have any ideas on modeling, clothing, headpiece, armour or whatever, let me know because I need inspiration! /Anders

just one idea i can use also for my own benefit. Been working on several characters mostly not getting further than the face stage. Need some real help how to animate a face. Would be only an idea but what about making a real photorealistic animation of a face in cinema4d! Anyone ever seen such a thing done in C4D. please tell me if so. For a modeling idea. What about doing some really impressive piece of head armor. P..: If you like to have more ideas contact me via private messages over here

The cheekbones need 'smoothing' out adjacent to the nostril. I'd say the ears look a bit too 'flat', and the edges need to have more of a rounded profile, also the shape doesn't seem quite right yet. I know ears are tricky to do, especially when you have to work with the mesh you've sometimes left yourself:-) The 'gulley' beneath the cheekbone and the lower jaw is too severe/deep. Its difficult to say more without seeing the subject.

I think it's fine as it is. Just add a texture to it so that it looks more like white / yellow stone with some roughness to it. If you add anything more such as a hat etc i think it will ruin what is a nice clean simple image.

it's looking really good... but I think you should go even further (no doubts you can !). Try to finish it. So many organic models ends as "radiosity statue" these days ! create the eyelashes, the skin and lips textures, the hair, the eyebrowns, etc... you don't have to do something "on large scale", a human head is already an infinite source of inspiration... BTW, I really admire what you've done so far with Cinema 4D.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm redmodeling her nose and cheek right now and will try to do something about her ears (ears ARE hard, like MartinK stated :) I have and idea about what to do with her, we'll see if anything comes of it.

Hi,very good work so far.But in your position I would try to use a more "livelike"surface color for futher modelling. The dull expression of grey gives a wrong impression of the faces proportions when your're on search for the definite form.So it is easy to make everything "bigger" as it should be.Forms in darker colors look smaller and even flatter as light ones. The standard-grey used for modeling is more a compromise between render-speed and visibilty in most 3d-apps. So get it lighter and you will see that it's getting easier and even more inspiring (believe me,I had to learn that at the academy!).
