Description

"Polly want a cracker?" "What kind of cracker, and don't call me Polly."seemed to have a bit of an attitude, as if it were about to say something interesting. A blue and gold macaw from the Cougar Mountain Zoo. It Go ahead and provide a caption, if you like! I think its expression warrants SOME sort of comment! :) You'll like full view ... trust me! :) ......... For those of you who wanted to know how conspicuous I really was in New Orleans in my black hat and red shirt, Bill has posted a picture of me in his gallery. You can see it HERE. if you've a mind to.

Great shot - intense color, sharp detail & a dramatic crop. He does seem to have an attitude & it seems kind of cruel & sinister to me. The thing that popped into my mind was that classic moment from Goldfinger when James Bond asks "You expect me to talk?" & Goldfinger responds "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die."...

"I prefer the garlic & herb ones you can load up with peanut butter, and can you add just a touch of Grey Poupon, please?" :-P Quite obviously a well-heeled bird with a taste for the unusual..... And a beautiful profile... "This is my best side.." A lovely shot of this beauty, Tara!

Zoom really is amazing; I don't know which one of the denizens this fellow is, but he has a really playful look in his eye. I love how they are so anxious to interact with visitors, it makes it really fun to see them.

Gorgeous capture! I love the way the light is highlighting the orange on its breast. Excellent work! (As to the black floppy hat and red shirt photo, you DO stand out - LOL - but not, I think, if in reality the rest of the world was not black-and-white. :)
