UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Very nicely done Bill and the background is very symmetrical.

Clever, love the background. x

Nice, balanced symmetrical photo which brings out Tara even without the red. This area seems to have been above water during hurricane Katrina. Keep up the good work. These colored black/white photos are interesting. And remind me of the old hand colored post cards from a century ago! :-)

Great creative postwork, Bill!! Perfect way to illustrate Tara's stories about the red shirt and the black and white shows the beautiful cathedral off so well. Wish I was back there again, what a great place that was - though I wonder how much different the place is now after the hurricanes in recent years.

Not conspicuous at all......... :-P Tara looks just lovely in red! She does stand out, especially with everything else being monochrome! LOL Nice one, Bill! This really is gorgeous!

I didn't realize I was wearing bandoleros! LOL! The bag and camera strap make me look like some sort of suburban bandit. :P Thanks for illustrating my story, hon! :)

auntietk gotten the spirit of been a pirate lol. just jokeing. i knew this was New Orleans. The french quart was overseen by a woman and she checked the work done every day and if it was not good work she kicked it down. She did good and the buildings still stands. as this church. check out the history who overseen this place.

Wonderfully done! I know a lot of us were wondering what Tara actually looked like in the black floppy hat and red shirt she mentioned. After seeing this photo, I'm sure she fit in just fine (unless, of course, everything else REALLY WAS black-and-white! :) Excellent work here!

Neat work Bill, I know this place, I have seen it in many movies.. You've captured it well and great postwork Rob

Well I can see why Tara didn't blend in. I like her comment. We will have to start calling her La proscrita fotógrafa. Great capture of this magnificent church.
