Description
This image is my take on the nice, clean artwork by Jim Nichols, "Haunebu Leads the Way", showing a U-Boat and Haunebu flying saucer with snow-covered mountains in the background. Starting from that composition, I added some details and built a little story. Now there’s reason for the rendezvous, although it isn’t clear to me whether the transfer is to or from the saucer.
The setting is built from the Snowy Mountains and many copies of the Poser Ocean (both Rendo). The submarine is by Bazze and the saucer is my own Haunebu II (Rendo). The air crew are M4 with the M4F flight suit (Rendo). The submarine crew and officer are M4 outfitted with caps from Varsel’s European Navy Uniform and the WW2 USAAF pilot pack (Rendo) and jackets from Born to be Wild (DAZ) and Kapitan Andreas Schmidt (Rendo). Making the transfer is V4 in the Kapitan Anna Erkman outfit (Rendo). The birds are from Ken Gilliland’s Seabirds 2 and Gull Flocks.
Scene composed and rendered in Poser Pro 2014. Image composited in Corel PhotoPaint.

Awesome scene!!!... Makes one think, what would it be like if the Germans had working "Haunebu" and did things like this.... the war could have went the other way... nicely done!

Really amazing work! Nice chilly, moody feel to it. Excellently crafted!

For Haunebu see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunebu Good image of futuristic sea/air transfer in cold sea. Some say that at Stalingrad, Germany was dangerously near to cutting off Russia's oil supply from the Caucasus.
