Description
Captured on Father's Day, 6/15/14, overlooking a channel adjacent to the Los Angeles Waterfront.
The good ship Cielo Di Guangzhou, a chemical/oil products tanker, flying the flag of Italy, port of registry Cagliari, built in 2006, double hull, with a gross tonnage of 25510 tons. Destination at the time I took these pics was Freeport Bahamas. Here you see it escorted by two Crowley tugboats. The famous Vincent Thomas Bridge is in the background of the top two photos.
Please ZOOM for awesome detail.
These shots were taken not from a bridge, boat, pier, jetty, quay, wharf, dock, levee, landing, nor the good ship Lollipop. They were snapped from the aft deck of a battleship, the name of which, plus a ton of photos, I will reveal sometime in the foreseeable future.
Bon voyage.

a very nice series of photos taken about a ship carrying hazardous materials ... we see through these photos technical facilities to cater for specialized port unloading such giants of the seas! Well done!!!
