Nice work and capturing this truly amazing shadow, Harry.

funny shadow with this fisheye !!!

Come to think of it, it does look like a fisheye lens was used, but, no, just a simple shot from a simple point-and-shoot camera. The fence curves around to offer that effect.

Wow, this is stunning, Harry! I also thought fisheye when I first saw it, but then realized it's on a corner. What a great fence, and a perfect capture of it, with those blue shadows (they only look that blue in winter, I think) encroaching on the braille spot on the sidewalk...you even got a little lens flare happening, really nicely done! I didn't get the bot for this one, and I'm sorry I missed it. This really rocks!

Ok, I'm way back on the 5th page-back, in your gallery; but I realize how many shots I've not commented on. This is another one I have to do tonight, because it's been calling me since it went up. You've already shown us your keen eye for fence shots and their attendant shadows and lights; but this one is so bathed in blues and has such a sweep to it, it creates its own category. You sweep from those bleached early lights to deep blue shadows, and the center is punctuated by a big foot grid (at bottom of the sidewalk---what Denise calls a 'braille spot', a good characterization). Wonderfully composed. And the light flares on the left---not only in actual flare (which I really like in your shots) but against the window of a truck. Yes (ala claude), it does bring a fisheye to mind, but I can see that it's not (I don't recall you using fisheye lenses anyway, as I think you would create the pov naturally rather than with that strangest of all lenses): It's just the sweeping angle itself. A very jazzy shot, lots of musical line going at once. And the play of massing (houses and trees) with spindly lines (fence), and open concrete (sidewalk and street) is marvelous. Terrific piece Harry, I love it.
