My name is Pete, I started using Bryce back in 2001. I dabbled for a few years then I had a PC crash in 2009 and I lost everything.
Last year I downloaded it again and attacked it with a new vengence. I do not do many scenes, my renders focos on the object created. My work is Dark and Dystopian and mostly involves metals of one sort or another.
Ive been a member here since 2007, lurking, looking and learning. The images I post are things Ive learned from all of you.
My art helps me escape the Madness of Reality
Enjoy.

Cool 3 cylinder engine. I think it should power a steam punk go-cart. Just a thought.

strange three cylinders engine...apparently it must be attached to a more imposing structure! What wonderful talent and creativity!!!

All your creations in Bryce leave me speechless...I know Bryce a bit but am totally unable to reach your level of expertise.

Most of these parts are created in Wings3D then imported to Bryce to be Textured and assembled. Save the parts you create in Bryce Libraries, after a while its just a matter of assembling them into something interesting. Make sure to Label and categorize them in the beginning ie: Motors, Tires, ect. it will save you lots of time searching for what you need. I've been at this since 2001 and I find stuff I forgot I had on a daily basis. I keep a notebook handy and make simple sketches of my ideas and then attempt to create them. Many times I come up with a different model than planned. Many modelers try to replicate things. Then get discouraged when they fall short. I don't do that. I work with what I have on hand and build things that have never been seen before. Most of my work consists of tricking the brain into seeing something. Two wheels a seat and handlebars = Motorcycle, regardless of what's between the wheels. Time and patience, it will eventually pay off. Just enjoy what your doing, that's the important part of Art.

Shining work.

Wow! Great assembly work. Interesting to hear your work process... I've noticed a similar thing among zBrush artists. Since playing with the multimesh options available I've been seeing various MMI objects turning up in images and even some movies. Unless it's a unique thing, why reinvent the wheel for every new model, right?

I agree, just resizing and re texturing small model has endless possibilities.
