Description

Mostly just fiddling around here. I like to practice blending Daz virtual models with real world photographs. I have noticed that most of the artists who post on RR are pretty good at this type of blending. One mistake tho that I often notice is the figure blended into the background lacks the same color cast as the background photo. In this particular scene I thought the tree colors defined the color cast best and I adapted Gen II's skin texture accordingly. It took some of the blush away from her skin but the result, at least to my eye, is more natural. Of course she would be damn cold in that hunting outfit, but hey that's not what the image is about. It's about blending realistically not realism per-se.

Color balance between character and decor in the image is very realistic indeed. Superb pose and expression for this archer, excellent image!

I think pics with snow are some most difficult. I never tried that challenge. But I guess, DAZ is not the right idea for that. It - the pic, - is a nice try. No rating.

perfect merge Fitz, your thoughts and efforts are totally justified by the result I like the air of expectancy as though both wolf and hunter are waiting, the hunter for the wolf to put a paw down and make a noise and the clever wolf for the hunter to loose her arrow before wandering up for a pat on the head :)

Superb character and pose. She aims for a location with her arrow, but she is already looks on another place. Maybe she left her room urgently to escape danger; and with the first clothes she found ^^

very nice mix. This is one of your strong suits, blending renders with real images. I really like this image as well kind of reminds me of the Hunger Games movie. ;-)

Excellent scene good job with the lighting and blending of the photo , you are right about sometimes people dont get the same colour cast on the subject as well as the back ground and even worse (in my opinion) dont have the light coming from the same direction, neither of which are a problem here an excellent job

The lighting on the figure is the hardest part to get so it looks like a natural part of the background. You have gotten it spot on! Great image... :)

You blended the two images beautifully, Vickie's colors are a near perfect match to the background picture. Awesome.

It looks pretty doggone good to me! I think the ambient color is right on the money here. The even light matches the background and gives the feel of an overcast, cold winters' day. Well done, indeed! One trick I use is to very, very slightly blur the sharp edges around the edge of the figure/props on the render layer. Just a touch will soften the hard edges and give you a more natural look.
