Description

In my last upload, I showed a Mother Eastern Kingbird perched in a tree holding a grasshopper. Mother flew to her hidden nest, fed her little chick, and is eyeing me cautiously. Baby is content with her grasshopper meal and is looking at me with curiosity. Detail feathers better in zoom. Thanks very much for your views and comments.

Cool capture of baby bird, Maria, moments after ingesting the grasshopper. Good that the mother was gracious enough not to interfere with your photo efforts. And, hard for me to imagine anything so difficult to chew on and swallow than a rough, serrated-like creature like a skimpy grasshopper, but I suppose anything goes in nature.
