Description
Last one (I think) in this series of abstracts. The shadows & reflections here are from fences. Because the ground is thin & unstable around many of the thermal features at Yellowstone, there is a network of boardwalks that visitors use & some of them (though not all) have fences to discourage people from trying to walk out into dangerous territory. Most of the hot springs in Yellowstone range from about 150-200 degrees Fahrenheit & since the park opened in the 1870's, there have been 19 deaths due to people falling into scalding hot springs...

It's easy to see how the formations of your first two shots came about when one sees this sixth (and hopefully not last) one. Fascinating! I love the reflections and shadows.

Very pretty textures and colors - it also looks wet!
