My goodness! It's been a while since I've made anything worth sharing! I've sort of been in a render slump lately.
This is Roux, an OC of mine. I love her, and have for years. She's been through some adventures in my writing, so I thought I'd pay homage to her with a portrait. I also took this opportunity to try out Poser's DOF, and I gotta say... I like it! It's much easier to use than Daz Studio, and it came out pretty good!
Rendered in Poser Pro 2012 with V4. Post work in Photoshop (details, color adjustment, etc.)

Awesome fantasy character, yes she looks like she's been around the block a time or two LOL! Pose, textures, lighting, POV, DOF - you got it all working. Nice.

Absolutely marvelous! I especially like the hair and the candle which are truly stunning in photo-realism!

Beautiful character creation, and a fantastic render! Excellent work on the DOF! I find DAZ Studio's DOF quite easy to use, so I'm intrigued by your statement that Poser's is easier. I'll have to check it out. :) Wonderful work here!

Thank you! It was rather a simple thing to just point the camera where I wanted it and then spin a dial to get the DOF where I wanted it in Poser. It's been a while since I've used DAZ, but it just seemed like there were more steps involved when trying to get DOF in DAZ. Also, trying to align the boxes up just right that separate when you're working with that setting in DAZ was just a pain. With Poser, it was more of a point-and-shoot method. :) I used a tutorial found on DeviantArt to try it out as Smith & Micro's tutorial is outdated and wonky. That, and I somehow don't have the DOF Python script it says to use. Here's the link (I used the first method): http://3d-fantasy-art.deviantart.com/art/Easy-Depth-of-Field-in-Poser-318974378
