Description

I was deeply saddened Wednesday July 16th, 2014 to hear of the death of another Guitar Legend Johnny Winter. A Texas Guitar Slinging Hero, acknowledged by all as one of the Greatest American Blues Guitarist of all time. Born in Beaumont Texas in 1944 Johnny and his Brother Edgar, both Albino with Long Flowing White Hair were unmistakable by their looks as well as their Musical Talents. As a Texan I had the great good fortune to see Johnny Winter Perform many times, mostly in Austin as Johnny was a mainstay of the Austin Music scene. It wasn't unusual at all to hit the Clubs and find him Jamming with anyone, unsolicited and unannounced just jamming with his friends and anywhere you found Johnny you were likely to find the Vaughn Brothers Stevie Ray and Jimmy along with the Thunderbirds or Rick Derringer and later on Johnny Lang or Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Where ever you found Johnny Winter you knew it would be a Party with Great Blues, There was No one Better, you'll be missed Johnny but I know you're out there teaching them how to Jamm out there in the Ether,
