Hi all. Here's a theme I've visited before: Vanitas or Vanity. Based on the Vanitas Still Life painters of the Dutch 17 century. Basically, It recalls the briefness and vanity of earthly life... Hope you are inspired, thanks for looking. Carrara, with Photoshop and Painter post work.

Incredible image, Randy. I am sorry I do not comment on most of your images but people as good as you, I figure don't need my paltry comments of praise (LOL). The only thing I do have to say is I wish you would increase the size of your postings. The larger size would allow people to see the wonderful detail and quality in your work. Keep up the beautiful work.

Interesting. Despite considering material wealth less worthy, the fact is the coins will be here long after an individual's flesh has gone. And without fossilization, even their bones will crumble. And someone, somewhere, will covet those pieces of metal. Beautiful image.
