Description

Those of you who have read A.C. Clarke sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey should remember that this was the last message that David Bowman sent to Earth Mission Control before he disappeared forever in a stargate built by an ancient civilization around the rings of Saturn. In this old Carrara render I tried to depict these last moments.

The original title was Childhoods end, it wasn't 2001 a Space Odyssey till Stanley Kubrek got a hold of it. Considering the year it was a ground breaker for effects. Way beyond the earlier "space films" up to that time... Excellent creation and dedication. To a landmark film...
