Description
After rewatching the 1979 classic by Ridley Scott, yesterday I downloaded the free model from scifi3d.com and now i've done this thing...
I know i should have done a better job with material setup and used volumetric lights...Probably next time :)
Thanks for viewing...

Volumetric lights may have added something to it, but I'd say it's still an impressive use of lighting, props, and camera angle. Nicely done!

I think your work on this is superb. the diminished lighting really sets a mood of apprehension. who has the model?

It's on scifi3d.com, among many others they have a section with some models from "Alien" . It's in Lightwave format but you can convert it to .OBJ using Poseray wich is a free software...

I really like the way you handled this. The beautifully smooth textures give it a very different feeling from the original Giger textures. And the lighting is wonderful. Sometimes by doing things that aren't expected you get something very good, like this. Think outside the box!!!!!
