Well, the only pirate ship that was reported to have a lot of guns was Blackbeard's ship, which is said to have had up to 40. The average pirate vessel during the Golden Age of Piracy (approx. 1680s to 1730s) was small coastal vessels of shallow draft with anywhere from 4 to 16 guns. Most had shallow drafts so as to escape into the rivers and estuaries of the islands in the Caribbean and the Southeast coast of America (the colonies of Florida, Georgia and the Carolina's). No pirate crew every sailed in a ship of this size, since no pirate captain could ever control a crew of up to 850 men that was needed to man a ship of the line of over 100 guns. Sorry, nice thought though. Also, why is it that every person that uses this model, uses ALL the flags and ALL the sails. 3 flags on each mast was not the norm. And only the lightest winds dictated use of ALL sails. Any wind that was strong enough, only a handful of sails were deployed. Otherwise the ship could be dismasted. Try studying naval/maritime history and sailing to render an accurate image.
