Ryoma loved Elita. He had told her that many times and shown her in innumerable ways. Unfortunately, while a very beautiful woman, Elita was very insecure and could never believe Ryoma really cared which made her insanely jealous. One afternoon she happened to see him kiss the cheek of a lovely young woman outside his office. When he got home she immediately started accusing him of having an affair and refused to even let him say anything. This was the final straw for Ryoma and he left without ever getting to tell her that the young woman was his cousin who had just arrived in town with news that she and her husband were expecting their first child.
