Description

An alien ship is in orbit around Earth, some 600.000 years ago. They are exploring Southern Africa, and taking "samples". The alien at the cage, without mask: "There should be no biohazard with those two, we've scanned them thouroughly. It's a female with a pup. But we've spotted one that was pregnant, I think we should go back and take some more. Actually they are not that easy to catch, they're smarter than you'd think..." Vue render, character setup in DAZ Studio. (The plating texture on the platform seems a bit large, but it's how it comes (UV mapped) with the model from DAZ. Could be changed in Photoshop. Will it be done? No!). Thanks for viewing, comments etc. always welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day, Lars Related: thumb_2382175.jpg

This is a very impressive, and I am quite amazed at the depth of the render. Vue is definitely living up to its reputation here. And you are obviously very skilled at its use. I'm really impressed by the floor textures, composition of the general scene, and I like most of the lighting. Since you ask for suggestions, I have two. First, I recommend that you move the helmet on top of the cage. The shape of it actually blends in with her boob. Sorry for being crude, but it does. Secondly, the alien on the left, the second guy, has very strange pose. is he directing them as to where to put the cage? I'm just not sure. Thank you for sharing this with us. I really enjoyed seeing it.

Thanks :) I decided to render this one out anyway, not being really satisfied, but I plan to make a more interesting follow-up. I'm not going to rework anything, it's not important, and I can do and have done much better :)

Great work. Love the feeling of this piece. And the lighting, given all the figures and complexity of the set, works really well

Well I think it is a brilliant scene the way it is but if I had the amazing skills that you have I would change the yellow stripe across the captured female's chest. If it is a reflection I think it is too aligned with the stripe that is behind her. I'm looking forward to seeing the follow-up as all of your work is amazing and leaves me awestruck!

Excellent render, covering thought-provoking subject-matter. And i agree with the comments of mmitchell_houston. When I first viewed this image, my first impression was, "Wow, that's an excellent render, I wonder if something like this happened on this planet half a million years ago, ala' Arthur C. Clarke." My second thought, as I studied the detail . . ."That helmet looks a little out of place--just a little." Otherwise, this is a tremendous job, and excellent render and I like it!

great concept. Well done. The first comment about that one alien is true. It looks like he backed up and is falling backwards. Helmet could be moved too. But, this is still a very well thought out and well executed image. - Bob

Excellent render and scene. Great concept too. Perhaps this is the explanation for the so called "missing link" ;)
