I have wanted to draw Comic Books my whole life!!! I've been buying software to "enable" my passion without success for years. I bought Manga Studio 4 EX years ago but never utilized it! ...never did anything with it!! Tried to learn it...I watched all the Tutorials I could, but I just didn't have the time to actually sit down and try to come up with something. I recently upgraded to Manga Studio 5 EX and thought I might as well keep my software "Fresh." Maybe the improvements would make it easier to use?!? I must say it's a lot closer to Photoshop (which I'm fair at using). That was a big plus!!! So, I sat down yesterday afternoon and tried to think of something to draw for a comic book. Nothing!!! Then I thought...let's start smaller. Let's try a Political Cartoon. They're short...full of "sass" and Satire! Now...You may not agree with my politics, but that's besides the point here. I eventually want to incorporate Love, Sex, Religion, Politics, Adventure and Excitement into a graphic novel or a comic book. I have to start somewhere and at age 60, I don't have a lot of time left to get going on this. I figured I'd have to start with something I'm a little passionate about. I haven't hand drawn anything without the help of my computer (and Poser) or some other artist since my very first upload when I drew my wife with a mouse. I'm surprised my characters even come close to having normal proportions. I drew everything freehand with my Wacom Tablet. I did use the text feature to make the print legible, however! LOL I'm very surprised that the Devil's hands came out as well as they did! Anyway...constructive criticism is always welcome! I'm hoping you can see past the "politics" to help me improve my art.
