Description

Hi all, I have been tinkering with trying to add 3D objects to Artmatic Voyager scenes, as I have a 4Gb collection of fab 3D files to play with. After a lot of lateral thinking I have developed a workable and quite simple technique to take a Voyager landscape and convert it into a HDRI probe for use in other 3D rendering software, such as Bryce. The only other software needed is Photoshop. This means any 360 pano landscape can be easily used as an IBL backdrop to enable reflective objects such as shiny spaceships to really look like they are in the landscape scene. I have made a PDF file with a tutorial of the technique if anyone is interested. Of course, you can use any 360 degree photo for this technique, it does not have to be a rendered Voyager file ;) I have added this technique as a PDF ZIP in the free stuff here. I am uploading today the results of a render in Bryce 6 for Mac using this technique. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/?item_id=74166
