Waoh! Il ne faut/fallait pas avoir le vertige pour vivre là! Mais déjà, quand il a été construit, cela faisait un côté par lequel l'ennemi avait peu de chances de passer. Le château a assez bien conservé son style du Moyen-Age on dirait. L'endroit est superbe, et la nature a l'occasion de rester à sa place un peu plus bas.

Merci Jean pour cette magnifique photo prise dans ta région...j'admire l'audace des constructeurs de l'époque qui n'hésitaient pas à construire sur des 'a-pics' à seule fin de n'avoir évidemment qu'une seule entrée à surveiller ! Je suppose les murs colossalement épais, et il me semble voir de petites fenêtres, voire des meurtrières qui devaient permettre aux gardes de l'époque d'avoir un oeil quand même sur leurs arrières !!!

Fantastique prise de vue de ce château. L' année dernière nous avons passé une dizaine de jours dans le Périgord et j' avais photographié le château de Monfort ( une autre architecture mais posé d' une façon similaire sur la falaise ). Je te l' enverrai prochainement.

Fabulous shot I just love castles would love to go and explore many of them, we only have one castle in New Zealand.. I wonder if they had an engineers report done on the cliff before building there to ensure it wasn't going to fall away lol.
