Description

Excuse the oh-so-creative name. This portrait was such a pain in the @rse for being so simple... Plagued by crashing and whatnot. I had to re-assemble it three times and have been trying to get it rendered for days... I adjusted the light, camera, and the eye expression a bit. Other credits: Daz V4 and addons, Hampton Hair (Daz) Rendered in Poser Pro 2014. No postwork Except Sig. Thanks for looking.

This is a good portrait, and you have my sympathies on the pain of the process! I understand if after all that technological irritation you don't want to revisit this, but if you do want to dive back in I have a couple ideas to experiment with. First is that she is a strong character and I really like the facial expression you have given her. She might look even stronger with more light coming from the front/side left to highlight her face and cast a few more shadows. Say a spot with AO and a fairly small radius? Second is you might try playing around a bit with saturation and light/contrast values in postwork to see what sharpens up. Again these are just suggestions. Thanks for sharing and for pushing through even when it was a pain - the image is worth it!

Wow, thank you very much for the feedback. I used one of Fabi's light's from MidBoreal and it was one of the "left" lights, I'm pretty certain. Due to the SSS and IDL, I turned each light in the rig down a bit because the iiner "imperfections" in the skin textures were a little more washed out than I wanted. I'm still pretty new at playing extensively with IDL,SSS, and DOF since my old computer couldn't handle them. LOL
