Description

This was created Photoshop and finished it back in July (07/02/02). I posted it in the Photoshop Forum to show the members what can be done with a lot of patience (and a lot of RAM!) but wanted to add this to my Gallery. There's a screen-shot of my desktop showing some of the layers needed to make the glass believable. comments welcome... :) retrocity

Really impressive. Looks a bit like a bryce render and then retouched. Very impressive. Good composition too. Too bad the thumb isn't featured as well (maybe rotating the hand a bit might work) Just thinking back to trying to render a glass poser model in Bryce....brrrrr.

That's what i was trying to replicate. I know it sounds odd (especially for a mod here @ Renderosity) but i don't have a 3D program (well... at the end of July i won a copy of Carrara (ver1) from Bakhter.com but i haven't gotten the hang yet :)...) I have been impressed with the stuff in the other Galleries and wanted to see if i could "re"create the stuff that's rendered... and glass has always been a pisser to draw believably. Thanks for the input :) retrocity

Thats a pretty bad ass image Retro. I can only imagine the time put into it. Knowing that it is pure photoshop sure puts it into perspective. Great job, thanks for sharing this one with the rest of us!

now it comes my stupid rate.. because in front of THESE images, of course the only possible rate is excellent, and it's so obvious to write it down becomes pointless. But I am doing it nevertheless. It's when I watch this, that I dream what I could make if I only had the patience to learn how to use photoshop. But all knows I am THIS DAMN lazy lady :P Keep reminding me all the fabulous worlds I mis being so :) and maybe one day... I'll follow your greatly inspiring work :)
