A sweet shot, I'm sure his mum wasn't far away, the mothers do like to give them fledge time because they cannot afford to be too clingy to mum... it's a tough world out there for small birds... and big one's alike. Great shot, deserves a zoom view.

delightful shot, and a little sad for the bird---I hope he/she found their mother. It has to be scary for a little bird...As a shot, I love how you divided the shot into the dry ground and the wet ground. Two halves of the same shot. And how the bird is right in between the two. The colors are all matched too, between the bird and the ground he/she stands on. I love the section under water---because of your crop, this looks like it could be on a vast shoreline (when it's, in fact, your courtyard). A fine piece, Alida. And I love the textures of that ground...
