As the old saying goes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think these flowers are very beautiful, even though life is already leaving its marks upon the one (perhaps it compensates with an extra-delectable fragrance :)

my roses often burn before they even bloom in the Texas heat. still one can see beauty in them if they want

I agree, these fading roses have teir own special beauty, one just has to take a closer look.

This reminds me of a song from Franco Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet" which begins: "A rose will bloom, it then will fade. So does the youth, so does the fairest maid." It is a wonderful image made more interesting because the older fading rose is the focus.

Vielleicht haben die Rosen zuviel Sonne bekommen aber schön sind sie immer noch. Klasse Foto, perfekt fokussiert.
