From 1090 to 1600 everything was "Gothic". However, the term was first applied during the renaissance of the architectural style during the mid 1800s. The term gothic was applied by a group of mid 1800s academics which held the whole period and style in derision, as barbarian. The original Goths WERE barbarian, whereas the Gothic period was anything but. Its contribution to western culture has unfortunately been eclipsed by other later periods, much due to the same academics mentioned above. This is a very nice rendition of a nun's habit from the late Gothic period. I like the crows. There's much symbiosis with animals during this period. Keep up the good work! :-)
