Looks like D-Day at Sword or Juno maybe. Tough image to do, Neil. I know it was overcast and dawn and everything together made for a very grey day. Because this scene, or many like it, are etched into my brain with all the B&W photos and video of this specific event, maybe a B&W render by you would have been a more logical choice. Turn up the contrast and possibly the "grain" and make it a vintage photo. Well, I think I said enough (he say sheepishly). Love the Mosquitos and the bomb splashes.

The tools for the day, including the swagger stick. My first thought was the ill-fated Dieppe raid as there's so little ships, etc in the background. But great job with the fog and smoke. Where did you get the shell splashes in the water? May I profess my ignorance about the swagger stick - was it a stick hiding a blade for the officers private protection, or was it derived from a longer disciplinary stick of pre-WWI vintage. In the Napoleonic Wars there was a pike man responsible for lining up the troops - he had the right to poke/stab anyone in the butt who didn't line up properly. Could the swagger stick be an offshoot of this? Please, some instruction to this matter. Keep up the good work! :-)

Nice work on this, Neil. I like the atmosphere in this. It suits the action and the blurred Mosquitos are a great addition. However you did the water bursts, they look great as well. Group charges must be in the wind. I just finished the set up on a desert charge. I should be posting it in a day or two. (You'll see what I mean about "in the wind" when I get mine posted.)

Great and impressive work.

That must have been hard to achieve with such a small size limit on the upload. Well done Neil. I'm assuming a WW1 item is soon in the making, what with the centenary and all ........

I see your putting Domus through Rommel`s Belgian gates at Juno or Sword, giving Jerry a run for his money. Excellent composition, well done.
