The Guardians of Xelath Dum we're either ex-mercenaries or criminals who had avoided the death penalty by guarding mankinds last hope of returning back to a normal life on earth. Xelath Dum held samples of genetic code from every single species that used to exist on planet earth before the great wars of 25819 B.L.
