check around and see if the acid formed a image on something, like an angel or demon. hope that chair was like that before the bang.. if not i would say you should be thanking someone above for not loosing your ..... maybe time for a cube around you.

Well no Demons that I could see... but from who the debris landed all around me, I have to say some one was covering me!!!.... but I did get hit by a gas cloud, which burn my eyes and throat! I ran out of there till it cleared..

Wow you were fortunate that you had someone sitting on your shoulder protecting you a close call. Did the hoist driver get away without getting hit? I remember one day when the boss and I were working on a saw bench cutting some sheets of ply and I was pushing it through the saw and he was tailing out. There was an almighty explosion and the saw blade safety cover some how explode, it must have hit the blade some how, and way big chunks of it went everywhere, past my head and the boss said the biggest part just missed me by inches and that I must have had an angel on my shoulder. was so thankful as it could have killed me if it had hit my head..

Once an electrolytic capacitor exploded on a board pretty close to my face. I was lucky - the particles missed my eyes :-).
