Description

This is something I started working on yesterday. I find that when I'm working at learning a new software like Modo, I do better with learning when the project is something that interests me. The teacup was a good start, but the project as a whole was kinda boring. Now modeling a Wonder Woman costume --that's something much more interesting... I started modeling this for the Genesis 2 female. I want to do a suitable figure render in Modo and what came to my mind is wanting to do a Wonder Woman Render. The only problem is that most of the Wonder Woman outfits were modeled for Victoria 4 which is not really my favorite model. The other thing was that the suits for V4 were all variants of the V4 bodysuit, which didn't really convert over to Genesis or Genesis 2 very well. I've actually started developing my own way of doing things for G2F, and this one started with the base figure and a little program called Topogun. I always start there for bodysuits and underwear and stuff because it is remarkably simple to get the faces on the model without a lot of tweaking. It gives me a really good base geometry to start with. I used Modo's thicken tool to give the base geometry some depth, and then brought the one piece back into Topogun to do the first piece of the breastplate. It came out pretty okay, but I am not happy with the breastplate. What I'm going to do tonight is remove the breastplate piece tonight and retry creating it with Modo's Retopo tools or 3D Coat's spline tools. I am rather pleased with the Modo Materials, though.
