Description

for my kind friend brewgirlca Tonight I made a concave diffuser and as a test took a shot at the wild strawberry. I am liking the results very much, but I think I need to have a thicker layer of diffusion in the top area where the flash comes in. The flash was at 1/8 power and the flash diffuser circles around the shooting stage like an upside down U. I think I see some focus banding, this shot wasn't everything that I was hoping for, but I think the lighting is much better than what I was doing before... Time will tell!

What I like about this is that all the features that are critical for identification are so sharp, clearly focused and the contrast is excellent. I think you are being a bit hard on yourself in terms of quality, but I like that in a person; it's what makes artists great and scientists excellent.... they are never satisfied. There is always something more to learn or do. Thank you for the dedi.

Intriguing. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to achieve, but as far as I am concerned, it was a success. It's a nice photo. I like all that detail. I would never have guessed this was a strawberry.

I was at looking at this your last photograph and wondering what it was. Wild strawberry, wow. Nice work and the lighting is great. When you view this image in Zoom, every possible detail is visible and then some I think.
