or clearwinged hummingbird moth...I caught it taking a knap. I believe I shot this early in the a.m. I tend to find bees and moths and such sleeping on the buddlia early in the a.m. anyway hope you like. if your looking 4 dtails u'll have to zzoomm!!! happy times on this 6th day of aug. may u all have a very peaceful day/nite.

It took me some time to realize which side is the head... Really I don't know why, because the image is very clear... Maybe that dark spot on the abdomen that hit me like a head... Btw... nice capture... In full-size I can see the fur :-)

I took a picture of one in Colorado and no sooner than I got home there was one in my garden. I managed to shoot a few pictures and it was gone
