Description
As we sat & paused on the shore after our hike up to Avalanche Lake, this very aggressive chipmunk came right up to us, climbing right up on shoes & even pants without any fear whatsoever. Apparently, someone's been feeding him & he's completely lost his natural fear of at least one species much larger than himself. Something I expect in city dwelling squirrels, but not in a national park...
Please zoom.

Years ago, when I was a teenager, we had a picture of a chipmunk perched on my dad's leg, front paws on the lip of his coffee cup, staring into the depths. I have no idea where we were camping, or when it was, but that picture is engraved on my brain. They're quite bold!

Well, Tara, short of removing your brain to extract the engraving, is there any chance you have that photo or can get a copy? It would make a great Shareshot.

They are so cute. Probably many visitors had some edible crumbs for them.
