Description

The Haruna was a member of the Kongo class of battle ships of the WW2 era. Sometimes one can find really impressive models at Google Warehouse. This model needed a lot of optimization and rework to make it usable for me. The original file imported into Cinema4D resulted in a file of 130 MB. With optimization and reworking it's now 46MB only. I replaced the anti aircraft artillery with my models. They are now instanced copies to save memory. Haruna from TheArchitect in 3DWarehouse

It's a pretty awesome model, and worth the time it took to rework it. I've used it quite a bit, and it is a memory hog "as is".

Very nice. One nitpick: Unlike the other ships of this class, the Haruna's fore funnel was lower than the after one, and had a slightly bulged top.
