Description

"Women should be having babies, not working in the field." Lord Sedgwick Seeley was raised in London, England. His family, very influential, gave him the best schooling money could buy. Sedgwick’s early interest developed in Archeology when he visited the British Museum and was fascinated by the collections being brought from the Middle East. When Sedgwick attended College, he specialized in Archeology. His first experience on an actual expedition was with a college friend of his Howard Carter. Sedgwick had a secret. He had a document describing a place called the Valley of the Kings. It described where some of the lost tombs were located. It apparently was a map used by ancient tomb robbers. The document had been a gift from his father who insisted he return with a sacred amulet hidden in the tomb of a pharaoh boy, but wasn’t sure exactly which tomb held the treasure. Sedgwick didn’t inform the others of the document, but decided to tell Howard the location of the valley. Howard locates the desired tomb and many others as he excavated the Valley of the Kings using the secret looters map with the help of Lord Carnarvon, an old colleague from the University of London. He had also brought his assistant Alicia Knight who proved invaluable in deciphering some of the illegible hieroglyphs on the map. Alicia had seen the mummy’s curse on the map, and few knew that the mummy’s curse was a real threat. Sedgwick had read the warnings, and Alicia was now a new one. When they entered the tomb, Sedgwick could see that the magical glyphs were still active after all the centuries. The typical curses to prevent grave robbers. However, the Guardian mentioned in the glyphs was real and it was on duty to protect the amulet from evil. They gave off a slight glow only he could see. He wondered if Alicia could seem them too. The workers had made it through the outer wall during the day. It had been hard work. In the morning several of the tomb workers were found strangled. The exploration of the tomb probed to be an adventure for Sedgwick, Howard, and Alicia who managed to find the boy king’s treasure, the mystic amulet, and the assumed defeat of the Guardian of the tomb. After the battle, Sedgwick managed to redirect the amulet to his father by courier. The amulet was intercepted by a rival of his father’s and was lost. His rival was found strangled the following night. The amulet was never recovered. When Sedgwick returned to England, his father revealed that he was a member of the Illuminati. A secret organization seeking world domination, and needed the amulet to harness the magic it contained. He returned back to the sight of the boy tomb, but found that the chambers he and Howard had explored were collapsed. The entrance was lost as was the amulet. To clean up loose ends, he found Alicia Knight had returned to England to continue classes on the Doctorate at the University. Seeing her a possible threat because of her knowledge of his activities in the tomb, he set out to have her removed from the University. The Professors’ at the school had enough secrets that it was a simple task to have Alicia Knight funding stopped, her reputation tarnished, forced from the school, and returned to the United States. Over the years, Sedgwick took on many more assignments for the Illuminati as he advanced in power in the organization. His career as an Archeologist was short lived. During one of his adventures, he was shot while working in India. His father pulled some stings and managed to arrange a teaching position at the London University. He could teach Archeology, any one of the seventeen languages he was fluent in, and watch for any special items being added to the University’s collection. Sedgwick personality is that of a self-centered individual who does not care what happens to others. He is interested in doing anything for power, and building his own power base. Sedgwick is an expert fence, fluent in a number of languages, and able to move about society with few problems.
