Description
When I moved last year I downsized massively and decided to donate these brushes and other art materials to a local organisation that runs on a shoestring budget. The Link Centre provides people with mental/physical health conditions outreach support and runs a visitation option where people can go and be creative with arts and crafts and generally socialize instead of being stuck alone at home with their conditions getting no help. I visit often and they fill a crucial gap in providing services but are always under a cloud of having their funding pulled albeit very minuscule. They organize days out, different health related support programmes... they can be the thin line between hope and suicide for many people, they help people get back on their feet again and become fully functional members of society without it all appearing like therapy sessions.. in short people are treated like people and not names and numbers. I often donate art to them for charity drives for raffles and the likes so they can generate some additional funds to help buy other things they so desperately require. There are many places around the country and I dare say the world like this but there are very few remaining in North Devon with services being cut almost on a weekly basis. many people out there may feel alone and hopeless... these people offer such a person a lifeline of hope... and I'm constantly glad to be a part of it and provide as much help as i can... it's for all age groups but tends to be ages 40's way up to 70's. These brushes helped the art sessions they run on certain days, along with plenty of paint and other things.

Mix of brushes there.. some are watercolour, some are oil/acrylic brushes in different sizes. They needed them, I had them.. it was a logical decision, when I next require brushes I shall be working in an entirely different way and will require different brushes to those working on an easel and so forth.
