Excellent POV on this Andrea, you may be envious of the red veined I got, but I am envious of the common, don't have those at our eco parks, you have thought so being a "Common" species, but who can figure nature. Also what I find remarkable about all dragon flies is this ability to swivel the wings into a reverse position, looks as though they are about to fly backwards.

Outstanding capture. I've never seen one from this angle. You have so many damsels and darters visiting your garden that I had this image of Tippi Hedren in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" being assaulted not by birds but by dragonflies.
